Deleting VIRs

Please note that the new system works in a different way to the old system (in terms of information that goes to the database) and currently we can’t simply delete a VIR without losing data that we need to retain.

Until we’ve clarified our requirements please do not delete any VIR in the new Live system without discussing with Delyth Knight or Mark Harris – heed the following warning:

There are similar implications of losing data when you put a VIR back to ‘Setup’ – there may be times that you need to do this but first check for any data that would be lost, e.g. specific documents uploaded or TIFs that have had text added, to see what needs to be saved for re-uploading.
